23: tuki tuki- tuki tuki!

Rather obviously, I'm back from adventure camp :D and I must say it was pretty darn fun. I guess I shall once again be reduced to rambling about some parts and totally ignoring others. Like how much I hated having to bathe in the open and get sand everywhere. EW.

Day before camp, a bunch of us opted to stay over in church, presumably to do last minute admin, more to have fun :D

Kenneth and I discovered you can melt styrofoam with spray paint, and spent much time doing exactly that and entertaining ourselves. (try it sometime)

Dinner was amusing, with us on mannequin nipplewatch and talking about first impressions. Ryan went from loser (joycelyns impression) to tortise ( My friends impression) all in one night. We then dragged our butts down to cold storage where Ryan insisted on bying a nasty japanese sports gel (the kind you drink) so that he could look pro. We the promptly lost joycelyn, who had in fact gone in search of food. Re-united, we once again traipsed back to church where kenny and darren were. Joycelyn fretted over her sova while the rest of us cleaned and noted down all the tents and stuff. And I had to wash many many many things. Evil kenny and darren the chased me out of the room on pretext of changing, before permanently scarring joycelyn with a faux stripshow. HAHA. In return, we dumped Kenny's pants in one of the coolers when we were about to sleep and found them lying about. As we were drifting off, Phenry msged to say put all the coke in the fridge.
We were angry, and woke up the guys to do the work for us :D

Breakfast at ya kun, the off to east coast! Along the way, we came up with a group cheer, and decided our group name was britney. This meant most of the time we felt more like we were calling a person versus a group.

At the camp site, we discivered the RED ANTS. who somehow lived only in patches. For the rest of the camp you could see people randomly leaping and curing as the red devil thingies BURIED their FANGS in us.
Upon realising the tent was too small, I opted to sleep in the pavilion. Also, I like the night breeze. Which makes my hair go crazy, but who cares? everyone kind of looks like shit at adventure camp :D awesomeness.

KAYAKING.
Very very fun, in very choppy seas. My poor partner was this little girl who could barely lift her oars, so stupid huimei strained her arms and couldnt go for the re-launch. We also washed ashore, incidentally. This meant getting sand everywhere ,like EVERYWHERE and freaking out cause I was so scared my little partner would get crushed on the rocks or smth. Was very happy to shower, and sat about playing um-chi-chi (dont ask) till the bus came. Did I mention Elza and I made alot of noise singing/playing music on the way there and back? so fun.

NIGHT CYCLING
was wonderful :D the night breeze was cooling and the lighst were out, and it was the beach cmon, it was great. Nice nice johnston put up with my non-proness and brought me on a tandem. It was seriously damn nice. But he suffered badly when we went over unseen humps HAHAHAHA oh gods sorry man but it was damn funny! Cycled to see the flyer, and joycelyn switched with johnston on the way back

Sadly, Hsinqin saw this as the opportune moment to declare his affection for her, which unfortunately resulted in a top-speed bike chase with me clinging on to the backseat and screaming. That was fun, embarrassing, and somewhat terrifying. I was rather peeved at umbrella man, but we sorted it out later on the way to the showers.

The next morning I awoke with the oddest and most peircing pain in both pinkies, which was both excruciating and funny. Like, PINKIE CRAMP? wth man.

HEIGHT ELEMENTS
was a bit of waste for me, cause I only did the rock wall and didnt even get halfway up.
and I re-strained my arms. wonderful.
But kenny and johnstons little dance on the top of the broken bridge........ohman haha.

CAMPFIRE
hosted by kenny and I, it was more of a time filler I suppose. We entertained with claps based on clement and pastor henry, and then played various portions of whose line. After declaring free and easy, we sat about playing number games, and murderer.

Supposedly, I went to sleep at 4.

I never did sleep.

I lay down, then, sensing smth restless, got up again. Looked like a storm was coming. We awoke pastor, who lay there and directed us to do stuff, until he realised what was gonna happen, then got up to help. We managed to bring in everything beofre it really started to storm. While joycelyn went to check the tents, the pavilion people huddled together while P henry, johnston and I attempted to fix a tarp around the pavilion.
We eventually gave up and joanne, johnston and I stood/sat in a various awkward positions holding the tarp up/down. Apparently joycelyn was very amused by how long I sat there holding it up. HAHA ok
After it started to calm down sabrina, johnston, dora and I huddle under some sleeping bags while some "refugees" from the tents came in. I think isaiah and joycelyn came off the worst that night, cause they were both drenched and exposed to the wind. Thank goodness they were fine the next morning :) I think Sab and I were the last people to sleep, at about 6++. Out of the comm/older ones/ people who were helping in the pavilion, it was quite funny that pastor was the first to sleep I think. haha.
I could swear I went to sleep surrounded by Joycelyn, Sabrina, hui xin, and next to a stone bench, so it was wierd that I woke up next to one of the guys.
Happily packed up and proceeded back to church, on the way realising that I resembeled rudolph, with the typical nose-sunburn. Which hurt quite badly actually.
I HAD TO TAKE THE BUS HOME. nuff said.
I somehow cant wait for the one next year. Must be my masochist side coming out.

22: Entertainment!

Hello everybody.
Huimei will not be home for the next 4 days because she feels the need to attach herself to ropes and jump from high places, paddle madly and make breaks for civilisation, and pretend that lamps are fires.
Vauguely contactable by handphone!
TOday was the church carnival! Fun! Elsa gave me amonstrous pink pig with an inexplicable belly band and david danced about at intervals. Kenny and Darren and Clara and Sarah and I bought many stuffed toys for the heck of it :D haha retardedness. And I saw bossys nice new cam, even though he wierdly disappeared after that.
I've been kind of low for a while, and stuff, so here are two clips which are happy and amusing :D

THE KOREAN DUDE

Awesome man. And yo better laugh or he will hunch you down and kick your corner bra, then terrorise your camel by rolling it up a hill.

Next, THE bulgarian idol

Just something about the lyrics man. HAHA.

Peace yo.

21: over drive.

In the day, I was walking down the street.I saw a dog, blinded by gravel and fury, turning to bite its owner who was trying to clear its eyes. The owner cursed, then withdrew his arm and started beating his dog, whos eyes had by now cleared and could recognise his master. Now the dog cowered away from the man, not once trying to defend itself.

What is loneliness? The instant you realise you are alone really alone, or the time when it starts getting to you, and you yearn for somebody, anybody, to dissipate it. If different seasons, bring different friends, I'd rather have my whole life be a winter. I'd brave the cold if only to know that whoever came to my door had beaten a purposeful and single route to it, and none of it was an accident at all. Then only would the fire inside burn warm.

I remember seeing a couple roller blading in the morning sun, glinting off wet leaves black tarmac and grass and soil. The girl fell down on the grass blades, and refused to get up even when offered a helping hand. She sat resolutely, pouting and dusting her hands off on equally dirty knees. So her better half flopped down next to her, flat on his back, wincing as he hit the ground harder then he meant to. Later, skates danging, he piggybacked back up the path to the bike rental store.

The last time you called me you yelled excitedly down the connection that you wanted me to hear something. I though it would be a prank, that was all I expected of you.But you had somehow divinated that I had a rough day, and played me a song, balancing the phone on a music stand so I could hear your amazing, amazing clear tenor as you sang for the first time in over a year, a whole song. The only time I had ever felt a guitar sounded good down the phone, and it remains the only good one till this day.

Staring wont make them disappear you know. Them? them- his tattoos, my scars. My paleness next to your ebony. It will always be this way. The children that seem too dirty to live in a mothers home, the man thats too lonely to have a home. Her lisp, the wheels that are where her legs should be, the way his arm no longer exists. The old woman on the corner who looks so, so cold. And alone. Look all you want, but eyesight doesnt perform magic tricks just like that.

Today I learned that life can be put into six words. Just six. I wonder if when you read those six words, you'll think what I'm thinking?

At night, I looked out the window. I wish I could see stars from where I am right now. You know where my heart is, I just happen to live here. You used to live here too, hating it except when you were happy. The only thing thats burns the sky is the moon, not quite round but not a crescent either, kind of flattened on one end. Its all I have to look at in the sky, so I sit and stare and remember how your eyes used to look when you saw my soul and realised what it meant when I said I trusted you, and soon salt starts to crust the crests of my cheeks, so I close my eyes and try to remember what your shoulder feels like. If I keep crying, does it mean I have failed?

Now I'm growing older, I'm learning to hear with my eyes. I wonder when I'll go blind?

20- word vomit?

Hello everybody,
Huimei has had a pretty busy week. Between yanking her braidy accidentally, cursing high heels, waking up at 7 to go to work then wasting her life away entering data, she pretty much hasnt had time for much else.
Except to think until her pea-sized brain is going to absolutely BURST

I can't remember much of sundays sermon, mainly cause I wasnt listening. I hardly do, really. To tell the truth, I can barely remember what was said except that kai min showed us some wierd marching video and delivered the message, and eunice also shared. The main point is- something happened.

Usually in our church, you can tell when an altar calls coming. The sermon ends earlier, Pastor comes on and says smth serious, then he asks to dim the lights, gets someone to play the piano, and dun dun dun dun altar call. And usually, I don't respond. Why should I?
Anyway, rules are meant to be broken, which is why I ended up on my knees at the front that day.
What is your life ambition?

Nothing. I have not the faintest Idea where I'm going now, or what I want to do. All I know is to take one day at a time, and it should work out ok. But now I find myself passing the time pointlessly, wastefully. There is next to nothing to differentate one day from the next. All I'm concerned with is how to make time pass faster so that I can get on to the next day. When I was in that moment, it was ok. I just thought to myself- this is the way life is, no? Our days all blend together in a bunch of memories anyway, its not like each and everyday has to be some sort of milestone, not like something super special or exciting has to happen everyday or smth, cause then if every days exciting then it would all be the same again right.

Its like, I have no reason to complain. Everything in my life may not be great, but the good evens out the bad, a little give and take, a little compromise and it works out ok.

Thing is, I cant go on like this forever.
No one can, especially not someone like me. There is a heavy weight about my neck and till the noose is undone it will keep tightening.
Dont get me wrong, I dont live in its shadow constantly. If I'm happy, I'm happy, if i'm sad, I'm sad, and its not very hard to tell. It just bugs me and gets bigger and uglier.. Till I learn how to cut this gordion knot I can foresee that it will be harder for me to be happy , to be wierd and retarded as usual. I fear that it will be hard for me to be sad even, to feel pain, empathy, anything.
. I am afraid that I wil no longer be myself, and that fear is made worse by the reality that is it could happen.

I in no way imply that I intend to find the meaning of life, or in some way come up with some wierd aspiration to work towards. Obviously any sort of romance would not only fail by far to help, it would also serve to make things worse since I'm into the superficialities of it still, and now is not the time. Material thing are out, duh, along with any (future) academic pursuits. Even my art, poems which used to bite to my core, paintings I could gaze at endlessly , they have stopped touching me now.
feels like I'm fading away. really.
Where is my short, wretched, mortal life going?

Currently Huimei doesnt feel so good. As this can be categorised as a natural disaster, aid in the form of people with dependable shoulders, listening ears, lots of time and lots of patience would be much apprciated. Donations of prayers will also be taken with much gratitude.
Good night.

19: week in short

Thursday night-Clara roped me in for what was supposed to be ushering for alpha, turned out to be WAITRESSING. Complete with the darn aprons. And my nametag said Joanne, since they couldnt be bothered to get a new one for me. YAY.
They also hung these sparkly things from the ceiling, and the whole night I had to control the urge to jump up and see if I could touch them with my head. I, along with joshua and kenny, promptly gave in to that urge the minute everything was cleared away for the night :D heh.
Did I mention that kenny and darren helped clear the food, ALL the food, while we cleared the plates? HAHA people in food-induced comas are fun.

Friday-Meeting in church to discuss church camp. The serve shirt emblem is basically a Gundam Seed character's head with a cross on its forehead! Assigned to host campfire with ................Kenny. Duh. Now typical. Luke and Jack part 2 coming up.

Today, saturday- Watched slumdog ( the leading man can dance=sexy man. Oh and YES the girl is so hot) With bossy , dweebs, and teri and her shorts :D Bossy wasted 5 minutes of our life riding up and down escalators and walking around looking for theatre 6. Movie was excellent, though the ending was a little cheesy. But I just love the surprise bollywood dance at the end, and wish they somehow managed to have more of that in the movie.
When we came out, it was pouring,
and rick immediately went into denial
since he had soccer later. of course, denial soon became reality and he went to fetch kaimin. But not before totally making teris day :D So the 3 of us trailed about, laughing at ugly clothes/people and at debs shoes which revealed two toes in a most hilarious manner. Got my hair braidy thingamajigthinggummun which is wierdly long, and its so pretty :D yae.

Tomorrow, I predict a riot.
JUST KIDDING. I predict church.
I wonder if the two are about the same sometimes?

18:-

I won't say youre blameless, but this time the major fault lies with me.
Must I keep saying it? You know what I mean .
I'm just waiting now.

I hope I never have to sing that song again. You rock my world :)

17: it should be called D-day.

Valentines day!
Totally overrated, commercialised, and cliched.
But not a single year has passed since I entered secondary school that I have not celebrated it (surprise surprise) And this year I gave out SUNFLOWERS heh. Cause bossy says they last longer :D yae.
(21 roses yaeeeeeee)
Usually I have at least a week or twos notice cause SC people are really ON about vday, but not this year. PANICKEDDDDD but heh sunflowies yaeeee
Nice nice carrie woke me up and sent me safely to shers house. Where I got to nap for like 2 hours before packing her bags for her heh. YES I do pack my friends bags cause if I see it and everything in it isnt perfectly straight and aligned my fingers start itching cause my OCD dictates that everything in a suitcase must be PERFECTLY STRAIGHT AND ALIGNED OR MY BRAIN WILL EXPLODE AND THE WORLD WILL FOLLOW. heh. And now I have pretty earrings and bracelets and a cowboy hat and sher has my PUSSY. No, really. Shes supposed to bring my stuffed toy cat with her to aussie when she finds it. And many stars and sand and letters :D heh.
Dinner with her WHOLE family, where I got force fed and amused with AJ heh. And her parents were nice enough to send me home :D
Seriously, it sucks when she leaves cause I dont see her for agesssssss, but I shall concentrate on how happy I'll be to see her again at the end of the year :D love ya babe
Sunday-my grandaddys back at home ! :) its so good to see him recovering.
And i had a traumatising journey back home from church today. At least it was vaguely amusing. :P

16: Misadventures of the Super Simpkins

Recently my life has been shuttling between hospital, home, and job interviews, all at the oddest hours.
But I have a really random story from today.
My uncle, deciding that I could use some exercise and make myself useful, handed me his car keys and asked me to get something from his car. I proceeded out of the hospital room where we had been, and down to the first floor.
Where I promptly got lost.
After ten minutes of wandering in circles, I found out that I had in fact been going the right way in the first place, and walked all the way to the carpark.
Which turned out to be empty.
I panicked, before realising that I was in the carpark next to the one I was supposed to be at, so I crossed the road. I walked up to the car, checked the licence plate to make sure it was the correct one, then pressed the button on the key to unlock the car.
And nothing happened.
Thinking that I might have done something wrong, I pressed the button a few more times.
And still nothing happened.
I checked the licence plate again, and it WAS the right car!
Then it dawned on me.
My family owns two cars, and that morning both my uncle and mom had seperately driven to the hospital. The car I had been trying to unlock DID belong to my family, but it was my mum's, not my uncles car -.-
After stupidly running about looking for my uncle's car, I found it, and this time it unlocked the first time I pressed the button.
I happily opened the door..................
and realised I had no idea what I was supposed to retrieve.

(In case you were wondering, yes, I managed to get back to the room safely without getting lost, and I did remember what I was supposed to get, and yes I locked the car)

And this was accomplished while I was talking to sher on my handphone, and running screaming across the roads in fear of being run over and being stared at by the general populace. How invigorating.

In other news, my grandfather got admitted to hospital on thursday, and yes it was nasty. Awakening to your mother banging on your door going " wake up! We're taking your grandfather to hospital!" is not an ideal way to start the morning.
But he's on the mend now, so alls well that ends well. Thanks a bunch to all who prayed for him/entertained me :D
Went to shers house on wednesday :D haha so fun getting lost in Kovan and seeing all the wierd people. And SOON SOON PORRIDGE haha that was super retarded!
Tomorrow shall be barbeque day- helping out in church. Oh the joys of half charred-half raw meat :P
